A snow-covered chalet made of an inflatable structure is installed on the Berges de Seine. Presented for the first time in Miami in 2013, Curiosity is an homage to the NASA Exploration Rover of the same name, deployed in 2012 on the planet Mars and can be considered the paragon of contemporary mobility. With this inflatable artwork, the Kolkoz duo (Samuel Boutruche and Benjamin Moreau) simultaneously pays tribute to the Martian pioneer craft and offers a pataphysical answer to what mobility (and even fluidity) might mean in today's world, a notion particularly interesting for Chalet Society to rethink the art institution of tomorrow.

Sur la promenade des Berges de Seine est installé un chalet gonflable au toit couvert de neige. Présenté pour la première fois à Miami 2013; Curiosity - du nom du véhicule de la NASA déployé en 2012 sur Mars et pensé pour - s'envisage comme un modèle de mobilité contemporaine. Le duo d'artistes terres martiennes et une réponse pataphysique à la notion même de mobilité (voire de fluidité) que développe
Chalet Society afin de repenser l'institution artistique du llléme millénaire.

Founded by Marc-Olivier Wahler, Chalet Society is a structure designed to encourage reflection on contemporary art institutions and to investigate new possibilities for exhibitions by testing forms, spaces, discourses, and protocols. Chalet Society develops formats that work on a variety of platforms, similar to open source software that can run on any hardware. The Museum of Everything, Chalet Society's first exhibition opened in October 2012, attracted over 65'000 visitors. Since then, Chalet Society has become an international renowned art space and proposes alternative audacious exhibitions and events.  |
